When an off-the-shelf tool can't do the job on set, I build one — a tracking camera server, a restoration model, a compositing solve — and deploy it where the production actually needs it. Work I've built has shipped to live broadcast and to a CPH:DOX 2025 premiere.
I'm Johan, a Copenhagen-based engineer working in the intersection of computer-vision engineering and film & TV. On set I do camera and live broadcast; in code I build the vision systems that detect, restore and track.
I take on freelance projects, and I build and license vision systems to AV and broadcast teams. I'd rather do a few things well than a bit of everything — happy solo or as part of a crew.
